a snapshot of SHIPTRON_SHIPTRON Marine Communications Specialists goes back to 1987 and is located in The Netherlands for over 30 years.
Nowadays we provide our services to the Offshore Oil, Gas & Wind Industry, Work Boats, Inland Shipping, Aeronautical radio systems as well as to those on large sailing ships.
Knowledge and experience
From former technical service provider SHIPTRON started to grow together with the expanding traditional professional sailing fleet of Holland in the late nineties and early 2000’s. SHIPTRON fulfilled the professional demands of these large sailing ships and gained knowledge we now use for all sailors that take their ship seriously. We share our knowledge with shipyards, designers, technicians, retailers and governments.
Communication and navigation equipment
SHIPTRON specializes in communication and navigation equipment for smaller commercial vessels, work boats, lifeboats and ocean-going yachts. You may find our marine communication installations on lifeboats, offshore oil, gas and wind installations, mega yachts and cruising yachts.

We are always looking for products that fit into this professional view of our customers. We are very willing to discuss particular features for special situations. This results in a gamma of quality electronic products that are of practical use.

SHIPTRON provides:
- GMDSS & ATEX radio equipment
- Carries out radio-inspections
- Supplies inspection reports according to valid regulations
All for wind farms, oil & gas platforms and vessels sailing under SOLAS-GMDSS rules and NOGEPA guidelines.
Certification
Since 2009 SHIPTRON is certified to ISO 9001:2008 standard. This organization quality management system guarantees that Shiptron meets current laws and regulations.
Since 2009 Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport afdeling beroepsvaart recognised SHIPTRON as Inland AIS Expert for inspection and maintenance of AIS Class A transponders.
ISO 9001:2015 standards
SHIPTRON has been working for years with its own quality management system. This quality management system is audited by Bureau Veritas in 2015 and certified to ISO 9001:2008. Certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 is expected in 2018.
